Welcome to the accommodation planning page for Sarah & Tom's 25th anniversary weekend.
We've curated this guide to help you find the perfect place to rest your head near Epcot and the surrounding Disney resorts for our May 2027 celebration.
On-Site Disney Resorts
We will be offering discounted rooms at Disney properties and are currently waiting to get that information. Ideally, we will offer discounts at all three price points: one Value resort, one Moderate, and one Deluxe. Keep an eye out here for the names of those resorts and the discount codes.
Or, if you have a favorite Disney resort or Disney resort you've always wanted to try, that's fine too.
Staying at a resort on the property makes many aspects much easier, especially transportation around the Disney property (no parking fees) and getting early entry to the theme parks. No question that staying on the property will make it easier to get to the weekend's events. There is also the added plus of the "Disney magic."

Accommodation Options
There are a tremendous number of options for places to stay in and around Walt Disney World--the amount of rental stock is huge, and there are options that can meet virtually every need and length of stay.
We understand that our guests have a variety of needs and interests -- perhaps this will be part of a longer trip, or it will just be a quick, easy, and inexpensive weekend getaway; maybe you want a place to stay with larger extended family or you are looking for a romantic, deluxe suite; it may be that you want a place to please small children, a spot in the middle of the Disney action, or an isolated retreat.

Off-Property Area Hotels
The Kissimmee and Orlando areas offer a tremendous number of hotel and motel rooms and suites that can satisfy the tastes of virtually any potential guest.
There are theme hotels, suite hotels, deluxe resorts, discounted options, and specialty lodging centered around golf or other sports or interests.
One of the great things about the Orlando area is that it is a major vacation destination, which means it offers places to stay to please just about every person, every budget, and every interest or need.
If you stay off the property, however, remember to factor in parking fees at the parks (currently $30-40 per day) as well as travel time.
Rental Homes and Condos
It is possible to rent a condo, villa, or house minutes from the Disney gate. This can be a fabulous, fun, and possibly economical option, especially for families or groups.
These rentals usually have kitchens and often have pools, grills, or other features, which can enhance the stay and experience, especially for a group or family.
In fact, last March Tom and I rented a condo on VRBO for three weeks that was very comfortable.
Easiest alternatives are the standard VRBO and Airbnb offerings, although there are also Florida-based rental management companies that offer similar houses and condos, sometimes with fewer fees.
Disney Wayfinding
Navigating Walt Disney World is part of the fun!
Epcot and the surrounding resorts offer world-class connectivity. Some options include
Friendship Boats: 15-20 min ride from the BoardWalk, Swan, and Dolphins resorts to Epcot.
Disney Skyliner: A scenic gondola trip.
Walking Paths: 10-15 minute walk from nearby docks.
Monorail: 30-minute connection to Magic Kingdom.
